Aarogya Setu app mandatory for domestic flight travellers: AAI
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Wednesday issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) to airport operators as it was announced earlier that domestic flights would resume services from May 25. One of the required procedure to be followed was the installation of Aarogya Setu app for every traveller except for children below 14 years of age.
In a report by news agency, the AAI SOP also said, "Passengers shall compulsorily walk through screening zone for thermal screening at a designated place in the city side before entering the terminal building."
Airport operators were ordered to make appropriate arrangements for sanitisation of a passenger's bags before his or her entry into the terminal building, the SOP pointed out.
The AAI manages more than 100 airports across the country. However, major airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad are managed by private companies.
Earlier on Wednesday, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had announced that the domestic flight services would resume from May 25 onwards in a calibrated manner.
