Extend last date for fellowship for six monthly : Lalji Tondon
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Madhya Pradesh governor Lalji Tondon has asked the University Grant Commission (UGC) to extend the sponsored project by six months. He said that Covid,-19 lockdown has affected activities of universities across the state. In such circumstances, to follow the determined time limitations of the utilization certificate of the sponsored project is not justified. The commission should extend its time limit of all sponsored projects by six months.
Research projects, fellowship, chair and other developmental programmes are being run in various universities of the state from the grant provided by UGC.
Due to Covud-19 situation the last dates for all the programmes cannot be followed. In universities, academic and development activities are affected.
The governor has thus asked the Commission to extend the last date of the utilization certificate for various projects, fellowship, and schemes for at least for six months.
He also asked UGC to give necessary instruction pertaining to this to all thr universities.
