MP: Classes I to V to start from Sept 20
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: With 50 per cent capacity, primary classes from I to V in Government and private schools can be conducted from September 20 onwards. Deputy Secretary, School Education Department, Pramod Singh informed that by keeping the directives of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and considering the situations of COVID-19, aforesaid decision has been taken.
He also informed that for cent percent students of classes 8, 10 and 12, hostels and residential schools will be conducted. School and hostels will be opened for students of classes 11 but with the rider that not more than 50 per cent students of total capacity of hostel will not be present.
Students will be able to present in schools and hostels only with the consent of guardians. He added that in connection with opening of schools, hostels and residential schools in districts, consent of district crisis management committee will be taken. Moreover, SOPs issued from time to time by the Union Government and State Government and COVID-19 protocol will be implemented in schools and hostels. In the meantime, students’ online classes and teaching through digital medium can be continued like previous manner.
