MP: Offline exams for colleges from Dec 16
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Department of Higher Education (DHE) is all set to conduct offline examination of PG first and third semester and ATKT from December 16 to 19. Barkatullah University is submitting examination form of students due to which examination schedule could not be released yet. In the meantime COVID-19 cases have once again rising due to which demand for online exam is being made students.
On Monday, Government said to conduct online exam for students of RGPV University which raised hope among college students for the online exam. Experts said that when students of technical programme are appearing for exam in online mode, colleges will also be taking decision in this regards. For past few months COVID190 cases were on declining mode due to which DHE said to conduct offline exam with 50 percent strength of students.
Detail schedule of PG classes examination has been also released that has put students in dilemma. Students said that there classes have not been conducted properly in online mode and syllabus is incomplete. When department asked to start offline class with 50 percent capacity only 10 percent students reached to the campus. Students will be sitting in exam hall with 50 percent capacity and COVID guidelines will be mandatory.
Social distancing and face mask will be mandatory for all. DHE has asked all universities and colleges to conduct the exams as per academic calendar in offline mode. For two years, UG and PG exams could not be held properly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All UG and PG exams were held in open book patter or students were given general promotion.
Now DHE is set to conduct offline exam for all students to bring the academic on right track. There are about two lakh students to appear the exam from December onwards. In its order DHE has also said that hostel and mess facility will be provided to the students appearing for exam.
