Scientists from Bhopal receives National Award for cancer awareness
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: National Achievers Recognition Forum, New Delhi, has awarded 30 personalities across India in the field of medical science, education, industrialist, and social worker at Constitutional Club of India, New Delhi.
From Bhopal, Divya Parashar, CEO of Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Idgah Hills, Bhopal, has been awarded National Achievers Award for Social Work for the year 2020- 2021.
The award was conferred in recognition of her efforts in spreading awareness in women regarding gynaecological cancer, starting free tuition and coaching to paediatric cancer patients, promoting early cancer detection camps and started fresh cloth bank for cancer patients.
She already had received more than 10 National Awards in the past. From the same institute, Dr N Ganesh, Consultant Oncogenetics and Sr Scientist, received National Achiever Award for Cancer Awareness, as he completed 2023 cancer and anticancer diet talk and camps in the rural area of Madhya Pradesh and across the country.
He especially approached the places where there is scarcity of basic amenities like light and water and transportation. He also conducted cancer awareness talk inside the train and the public places. During the pandemic year, he completed 59 live camps and more than 200 virtual talks to aware people regarding cancer.
Dr N Ganesh, is also a recipient of 20 National Awards and 161 Scientific awards. The chief guest of the award ceremony was Ram Niwas Goyal, Speaker, New Delhi Assembly, and other dignitaries present were Vijayendra Garg, MLA and Chairman Standing Committee on Health, Delhi Legislative Assembly, Dhirendra Pratap Singh, chairman Khadi Gram Udyog, Uttarakhand and Sunil Kukreja, Chairman of National Achievers Recognition Forum.
