BHOPAL [Maha Media]: On the auspicious occasion of the 105th birthday of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji, Maharishi Organisation is celebrating this day as Gyan Yug Diwas with full fervor and dignity.

Yesterday Brahmachari Girish Ji - Head of Maharishi Educational Institutions inaugurated the two-day ‘Maharishi Gyan Yug Diwas Mahotsav’ by performing Shri Vishnu Pujan and Shri Vishnu Sahasranama, followed with Shri Maharudrabhishek Yagya by Maharishi Vedic Pandits at Maharishi Utsav Bhavan in Bhopal.

While addressing the seminar, Veda Vidya Martand Brahmachari Girish Ji said that today is a very auspicious day, we celebrate Maharishi Ji's birthday as Gyan Yug Utsav - the festival of knowledge and Vedic Gyan. Today it has been 105 years since Maharishi Ji was born in a small village named Panduka in Raipur district and still he conquered the world with his knowledge of Gyan and Vigyan. This proves that it does not matter where one is born, only knowledge matters. This is the reason why we worship and give thanks to our Vedic Guru Parampara every day.

Brahmachari Girish Ji further said that knowledge lies in consciousness, and to use it Maharishi Ji has given us a way to achieve this by practicing Transcendental Meditation twice a day. Maharishi Ji always used to say that Transcendental Meditation is like an ocean of consciousness, and when you take a dip in it twice a day, you will become like Brahma or Brahma himself.

Addressing the honored guests and writers, Girish Ji said that there have been great epic writers like Maharishi Valmiki and Ved Vyas in our country, who through their creations did the welfare of the world and inspired crores of people. It should be the responsibility of writers that they bring change in society through their writing and work to awaken the people. Today there is a great need for good literature, but it will not be possible only with the mind, for this one has to purify one's consciousness first, then only the mind will be able to think about social welfare. Girish Ji appeals to all writers and says that they should not only criticize but also write good things. You are the one who can bring happiness in the society, make the society prosperous, and establish harmony. There is a lot of power in writing, which may led a wars and has also do remarkable work to establish peace. Therefore, all of you must take a pledge that you will work continuously for the establishment of peace and through
your creations, fulfill your obligation to make heaven on earth. Girish Ji requested writers to learn Transcendental Meditation and Siddhi programs to make people more relaxed, creative and remove blockages in their mind.
